Supermarket Insurance

If you've typed 'supermarket insurance' into Google, you are either looking to insure a supermarket, or far more likely, you are seeking the best offers for insurance from the many supermarkets out there. This is a fairly recent transition and in the trade it is called leveraging off your brand. Namely, if you're known in the consumer's mind for groceries, well, why not offer them credit cards to buy those groceries with, and then why not offer them insurance to make sure that their groceries and other valuables, don't get lost or stolen.

The biggest advantage of supermarket insurance is of speed and convenience. I remember the days of trudging around insurance brokers trying to find the best deal on my clapped out mini. Now, you can sit back, with your glass of wine strategically positioned within arm's reach, and surf the 'net to find the very best deals in supermarket insurance. It is quite possible, in less than an hour, to compare rates from over 50 insurance providers. Along with the insurance comparison sites, Tesco also offer a free no holds barred comparison of 35 different car insurance providers. Asda checks around 20 for the best deal.

So, my advice to you, is to take a sip of that wine (not too much now, you have decisions to make) and go and visit 4 or 5 supermarket insurance sites and take the time to compare quotes and most importantly, the benefits of each individual package. If you want to get rather sophisticated about it, you could even create a spreadsheet, detailing each offer. A good idea is to also weigh your selection criteria factors for example, if breakdown cover is absolutely essential, then you can quickly discount all those offers that don't include either cover or assistance.

Happy hunting and happy sipping!
